ABOUT US

We are Wren & Cooper, designers and makers of hardwood contemporary furniture, lighting and art.

Founded by Mariah Wren & Mark Cooper in 2012, our intent is to make fine contemporary furniture, as perfectly as possible. Combining solid hardwoods with hand dyed leather, welded steel, machined brass and our own unique hardware, each piece highlights the nexus of form, function and luxury material. Each object is thoughtfully designed, highly functional and precisely crafted. We build our furniture using traditional joinery methods, making one piece at a time in our Pennsylvania studio. We employ materials that are pleasing to the touch as well as the eye, that will gain a patina with age and use. Exceptional design and craftsmanship means that our furniture may be refinished and reupholstered over its lifetime. The leather is replaceable, the brass can be removed and polished, the wood is solid, not veneer. This work is directed toward those who are seeking beautifully made furniture that will last for generations.

We are based in bucolic Bucks County, Pennsylvania, a region that was home to two of the most notable furniture makers of the twentieth century, George Nakashima and Paul Evans. Our aim is to continue to build upon Bucks County's storied tradition of fine furniture making.
