About us

Welcome to Wren & Cooper. We are designers and makers of graphic, minimal, hardwood furniture. Our pieces reflect our attention to small details: how it feels to touch the top of a chair back or run your hand along a table, the sound a door makes as it clicks shut, the shape of a handle, the way a piece works, wears and functions over the years. We choose boards that are the right size and color for each piece, and carefully put them together using traditional joinery methods. We pay close attention to the edges and surfaces, use the best hardware available or make our own, and we are exacting about finishing by hand.
Each piece is built in our studio in Bucks County, PA, using locally sourced, FSC certified sustainable domestic hardwoods. Longevity is an important aspect of sustainability, and we build things that will last a lifetime or more. We keep almost all parts of the production in house so we can monitor quality and continually improve our work.
We have been featured in Dwell, Interior Design Magazine, Apartment Therapy, and Philadelphia Magazine.
When you place an order you can expect to have your new furniture within 6-10 weeks.

We are Wren & Cooper, designers and makers of hardwood contemporary furniture.

Founded by Mark Cooper and Mariah Wren, our intent is to make the furniture we want to see in the world, as perfectly as possible from honest materials. Objects that are thoughtfully designed, highly functional and precisely crafted with a focus on simple profiles and subtle graphic details. We build our furniture by hand using traditional joinery methods, making one piece at a time, to customer order.  We use materials and finishes that are pleasing to the eye and touch that will gain patina with age and use. This work is directed toward those who are seeking beautifully made solid wood furniture that will endure and retain its value for generations.

We are based in bucolic Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where where we continue to build upon the region’s storied tradition of fine furniture making.

We welcome clients to come to our studio, and are open for shop tours and design consultations by appointment. Please email for details and directions.

When you place an order you can expect to have your new furniture within 8 - 12 weeks.
